Manager:
Patrick has worked at Hobson & Wings since 2003 firstly as assistant manager
and currently as manager. Patrick is the primary person for finalising arrangements
for larger wings conferences, functions, and weddings. Patrick also looks after
larger group accommodation bookings. Of course, initial enquiries can also be directed
to Patrick’s assistant and any of our reception staff. Patrick has completed
arrangements for and implemented many conferences, functions, weddings, and group
bookings. He also has various administrative duties as well as looking after our
other staff. Patrick holds a manager’s certificate under the Sale of Liquor
Act.
Assistant to Manager:
Germancy has worked at Hobson & Wings since 2000 in a number of roles and currently
as assistant to the manager. Germancy works full time at the Hobson reception desk.
She can deal with all enquiries for wings conferences, functions, and weddings,
as well as for accommodation bookings.
Part Time Reception:
Olivia and Elma work as part time receptionists. They can also help with enquiries
for Wings Conferences, functions and weddings as well as accommodation bookings.
Wings Hostess:
Niru has worked at Hobson & Wings since 2001. Niru is the hostess for conferences,
functions, weddings, and events at Wings. Niru caters for conference breakfasts,
morning/afternoon teas, and lunches, any day of the week including week ends. Niru
looks after the wings front (waiting & cleaning) staff.
Owners:
Dallas Murton has been a co-owner since Hobson & Wings first opened. He is the
supervising co-owner. Dallas is not involved with daily operations but attends Hobson
& Wings most days. He looks after owners’ interests and assists with decisions
that may require owners’ approval. He assists with supplier/creditor accounts
and the determination & implementation of systems, the drafting of precedent-documentation,
and the purchasing of capital items. Dallas has drafted our information packs.

Graeme Murton has been a co-owner since Hobson & Wings first opened. Graeme
is a builder by occupation. His construction company built Hobson Motor Inn and
Wings and has carried out the renovations and upgrades. Graeme is therefore often
on site and also plays a major supervising role in the business operations.
There are also two other principal co-owners, Graeme and Martin, who although not
involved in daily operations play major ownership roles.
Culture:
Our culture aims to foster a continual rising of standards and elimination of errors.
Our staff are encouraged to listen to guest requirements and to make recommendations
only after first ascertaining the guest’s wishes. Our culture aims to encourage
mutual respect. Gender and ethic background are not a barrier.
